I missed the start of the exchange
caught scorn "...old man!"
from the skateboarders.
saw his knuckles,
him quaking, shout
tear after the boys
who looked back
laughing. they may've
gotten hearts, regrets.
more likely an unincident,
an insubstantial forgotten.
