hissed words, whistled,
jostled, stepped on my heels
I turned once
whined "quiiiiiit it!",
interrupted teacher
giggles from her gaggle
later I apologized
for raising my voice,
losing temper
added, Jesus loves you.
laughter followed my straight back
tested worthy
