tribute # 121 - Nanny

proved stereotypes true
she'd chew anything --

flowers, weeds, tin,
newspaper, fence, bags.

I milked her.
mostly we'd be.

we would stare
into each other's eyes.

what else was there
for summer days?

most don't so comfortably
bear such long gazes.
