she spoke of blossoms,
making lunches
parent-school meetings,
cute things kid said
but lived in middle east war zone,
completely omitting mortar fire,
bombings, rations.
yet our reports of wars is
unspeakable constant tragedy.
bravery. how skewed
our omissions too.
