anecdote # 126 -The Good Officer
tires slowed on gravel.
my "nice moonlight for a stroll"
didn't convince him I wasn't a runaway. he said
he wouldn't sleep for worry, leaving me;
home in the squad car.
dad, bat, answered the door,
I scooted past murmurs.
