anecdote # 184 - dog walker

person with dog on black leash and collar passed.
friend and I oohed, "isn't she cute"

with a huff of great offence dog-walker snapped
He's a boy.

what? maybe put pup in pink ruffled skirt?
why does gender matter anyway?
