tribute # 290 - Beatrice

was extolled at her funeral —
embodying lovingkindness
the first to bring care
with a word or casserole —
a pillar in her young life.

I knew her only as senile
cruel, incontinent, iron fisted
to daughter-in-law — but
kinder than (amoral) aging.

Money may not change you, but time...(hell!--you know the song!).
