At an age where I'd never seen unshelled peanuts I sat on her rug, watching my 1st Dr. Who ignoring the stilted adult vibe in the room that I wasn't supposed to notice. 30 years, a cache of letters from E.
You give the whole picture in these few lines. I feel the warmth of the memory, the background nuances not grasped until hindsight, and the loss implied in the cache of letters. Kinda got to me!
