tribute # 274 - Kathleen

and her brother, seniors,
in their bush shack without electricity
somehow carried on, a quiet pair.
he whittled miniatures of horse teams
which spoke love. she crocheted
dish rags in her housedress
and bobby socks, legs thickest
at the knees.

Kathleen. Kathleen. One day I'll buy you a double-wide. Promise!

I'm guessing this is a folk song I don't know?
